With the new Children's Play Area opened in October 2023 the Pakenham Village Hall and Playing Field Association are now looking to replace our ageing pavilion which is adjacent to the new play area  We cant be certain  as to its age but discussing with residents, the pavilion was up to 20 yrs old before being moved to its current location over 30 yrs ago so its served its purpose and ready to be replaced.

Once we have full costings we can start grant applications at the same time continue our local fund raising which in turn helps when applying for grants.

We would like the new Pavilion to be 75% larger by doubling the size of the social area/ kitchen renewing the toilets and introducing a separate disabled toilet. A veranda will also be included . The fully insulated construction would be wood with a pitched roof together with solar panels, battery storage under floor water heating  and heat source pump. There will be a rain harvesting system which will provide much needed water for the allotments which are a short distance away. This means all year round use as currently the existing pavilion has no insulation and can only be used in the summer months.

We would like to receive your opinion about our plans and possible uses which currently include pop up cafe, children's activities, parties, child care, youth club, warm hub, men's shed, craft clubs, social club, business meetings, catering facilities for sports and social events held on the playing field .
